The neighborhood

Battery Park City is a long sliver of land, bordered by West Street, to the east, and the Hudson River to the south, west and north. Built, in part, on reclaimed land from dredging the World Trade Center site, this modern neighborhood is known for its high-rise apartments and lush, river view parks.

Battery Park City is also home to North Cove yacht harbor and the glittering towers of Brookfield Place (formerly the World Financial Center).

Additionally, fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg is known to have owned a unit in one of the luxury high-rise buildings in Battery Park City. These celebrities are just a few examples of the many famous people who have been a part of the fabric of this vibrant neighborhood.
